| Description: We are known as Ettinger Orchard and Cider Mill. Located about 20 miles
north of Lansing, MI, near St. Johns. We have 10 acres of land, some
woods, about 200 fruit trees, mostly apple, but also some peach, apricot,
nectarine, pear and plum. Many of our varieties are antique, used
especially for cider. We also have 13 large, bearing Carpathian walnut
trees, and 11 bearing French Filbert trees. Lots of room to plant more
trees or for truck gardening. Cider mill passes inspection each year.
Lately, we have been cutting back, (we're getting too old for this), so last
3 years, only about $7-10,000 income each year. Outbuildings include 2 big
pole barns, cider mill, 2 small sheds, 1 for general storage, and one for
spray materials. We have picking bags, 200-300 bushel crates, and an
air-blast 50 gal. 3-point sprayer, all included. House is small, salt-box
style, 160 years old, with vinyl siding and steel-shingled roof. Somewhere
between 2 and 4 bedrooms, depending on how you look at them. Dishwasher,
stove, fridge, washer, dryer. Newer propane furnace and AC, but we heat
mostly with wood. Cider mill also equipped with range for canning and jelly-making (part of my sales)and large commercial upright cooler. Phone number is 989 224 7678 Comparable 10-acre parcels with just a house in this area run about $190-200,000, so our asking price is $249,000
